Key Responsibilities
Prepare and implement lesson plans based on the school’s curriculum standards and students’ proficiency levels.
Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered English learning environment.
Teach comprehensive English skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), potentially covering specific subjects like literature or science.
Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Actively participate in school-organized professional development and training programs.
Maintain regular and positive communication with parents to report on students’ learning progress.
Participate in and organize school-related extracurricular activities, such as English corners or festival celebrations, as applicable.
Adhere to all school regulations and relevant Chinese laws and regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Nationality: Citizen of a native English-speaking country (e.g., USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc.).
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience (this requirement may be flexible for candidates with a TEFL/TESOL certificate).
Certification: Hold an internationally recognized English teaching qualification, such as TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA (minimum 120 hours).
Background Check: Provide a no-criminal-record certificate.
Health: Be in good physical health, meeting the medical examination standards for foreigners working in China.
Work Visa: Meet all criteria for applying for a Chinese work permit (Z visa).
Preferred Qualifications:
A degree in a relevant education-related field.
Experience teaching in Asia or China.
Experience teaching specific curricula (e.g., IB PYP/MYP/DP, AP, IGCSE, A-Level).
Basic Chinese communication skills.
An outgoing, patient, and adaptable personality with strong cross-cultural communication skills.
