Key Responsibilities
Execute transactions on HUPX (Hungary) and I-SEM/EirGrid (Ireland) Day-Ahead and Intraday markets.
Prepare, validate, and submit offers for Hungarian and Irish regional exchanges.
Monitor short- and medium-term trends in Hungary and Ireland, including production forecasts, balancing mechanisms, and regulatory changes.
Ensure accuracy and compliance of all trading documentation and physical notifications.
Collaborate with the Technical Director to verify site and project data across multiple jurisdictions.
Maintain detailed transaction logs and monthly performance reports.
Provide insights and technical recommendations to optimize cross-market trading strategies.
Support back-office activities for settlements, reporting, and audit compliance.
Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks in both Hungary and Ireland.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Energy Systems, Economics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
3–5 years of electricity trading experience
Solid understanding of European cross-border energy flows and market mechanisms.
Proficiency in trading platforms, data analysis, and forecasting tools.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and time management skills.
Able to work independently with global teams and stakeholders.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Proficiency in English is required; Mandarin Chinese is a strong advantage for coordination across Asian operations.
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience with JAO, EPEX, and Nord Pool platforms.
Direct exposure to Hungarian (HUPX) and Irish (I-SEM/EirGrid) markets.
Background in renewable integration, forecasting, or strategy development.
Familiarity with European energy compliance frameworks and reporting standards.
Proven ability to collaborate across geographies and with external stakeholders (TSOs, consultants, auditors).
